The Women of the North American Church (WNALC) is an auxiliary ministry of the North American Lutheran Church and is committed to the four attributes of the NALC:

We confess the apostolic faith in Jesus Christ according to the Holy Scriptures. We affirm the authority of the Scriptures as the authoritative source and norm, “according to which all doctrines should and must be judged” (Formula of Concord). We accept the ecumenical creeds and the Lutheran Confessions as true witnesses to the Word of God.

Mission Driven
We believe that the mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel and to make disciples for Christ. We believe that making disciples — in our congregations, in our communities and nations, and around the world — must be a priority of the Church in the present age.

Traditionally Grounded
We affirm the ecumenical creeds and the faithful witness of the Church across time and space. We endorse the form and practices of the universal Church that are consistent with Scripture, particularly the office of the ministry and the tradition of worship under Word and Sacrament. We seek dialogue and fellowship with other Lutheran churches and with faithful Christians of other confessions.

Congregationally Focused
We strive to be a church body that is organized to facilitate the ministries of local congregations in a posture of servanthood and a spirit of partnership, through the provision of resources, connections and information.

2018 WNALC Gathering attendees voted on the 2018-2019 Council. Four current members & three new members now serve you in the seven-woman crew. At our first meeting that same evening we decided on positions & responsibilities to ensure that members (that’s you!) are supported & served in the best ways possible. Here is a little glimpse into who we are!

The Women of the North American Church (WNALC) was formed on Friday, August 12, 2011, at the NALC Convocation. We are a guiding organization, not a governing organization, with a purpose to assist the local congregational women’s groups in their efforts in Faith and Mission, through Prayer and Evangelism, with the Bible as the ultimate Authority of God. The WNALC strives to link NALC women’s groups together as a community of faith, hope, and love as they focus on their individual organization and to assist them in God’s mission, studies of His Word, service to others in Christ’s name, and fellowship with each other and other Lutheran women.

The WNALC is an auxiliary ministry of the NALC and shall commit to the four attributes of the NALC: Christ-Centered, Mission Driven, Traditionally Grounded, Congregationally Focused. All women and women’s groups of the NALC are part of our organization. We also invite our Sisters in Christ from those congregations in affiliation with the NALC, such as LCMC, to join us in our ministry.
